Submitting stories to the Misadventure series
Do you accept previously published material?
Yes. On the first page of the story please list where you story was published
previous, include the name of the publication, the volume or issue number,
the date, the publisher name and city, or any other relevant bibliographic
information.
What file types can I submit?
You can submit any file format that you want. However, we prefer .doc (MS
Word) or .rtf (Rich Text Format) files. Most word processing applications
allow you to "save as" an RTF file. Please also make sure that
your file ends with the .RTF extension (for example: "mystory.rtf").
I am a MAC User, do I need to do anything different?
Yes! Macintosh files typically do not use file extensions so you may have
to rename your file to end with .doc (if using MS Word) or .rtf (if using
another word processor -- for example: "mystory" must be renamed
to "mystory.rtf").
I only have a .pdf or scanned version of my story,
what can I do?
You can send the .pdf file. However, if the editors decide they want to
consider your story for publication, they will ask you to provide the story
as a .doc or .rtf document and resubmit it.
Is there a file size limitation?
Please note that submitted files should not exceed 1 megabyte.
Do I need page numbers on my story?
Yes.
Should my name, address and email appear on the
first page of my story?
Yes.
How soon can I expect to hear about my submission?
All of the stories submitted will be read by two editors. Please be patient,
the reading process can take several weeks to several months.
The editor emailed my story back to me with some
edits made to it. What do I do with it now?
Resubmit the story using Casagrande Press’s submission feature.
